Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is a "table square"?

A table square is a square piece of fabric that can be used as a tablecloth on a small  table or as a centerpiece on a larger table. Table squares are a versatile, and we think essential, element of home decor.  They look great on just about any size table.

How can I launder my handwoven item?

Hands to Work uses only the highest quality materials to ensure that our products are both beautiful and durable. However, in order to maintain the integrity of your handwoven item, proper care is a must.

ALL HTW  products should be washed in cool water either by hand or on the delicate cycle. Limiting the frequency and intensity of washes is not only the best way to keep your purchase looking good for decades to come, it is also better for our planet.

Linen items should never be put in the dryer or ironed as heat breaks down the linen fibers and limits the life of the item. To eliminate creases, spritz the item with water and smooth. Stubborn creases can be "ironed" out with a rolling pin.

Cotton items may be dried gently on low, but line drying will extend the life of your purchase. Cotton items may be steam ironed as necessary.

Wool items should be washed by hand and laid flat to dry. Refresh wool items between washes by using the low- or no-heat tumble setting on your dryer.
